With an eye toward installing a battery powered trailer light converter, looking at the 2007 owners manual shows several circuits around the 'multiport fuel injection / sequential multiport fuel injection'.
Some routes in addition to it's dedicated paths seem likely, say pairing with #15 ETCS for the throttle; the starter #1 AM2, or #30. But #21, tailights, or #38 stop lights are baffling to me and could possibly spoil the fun.
They can't want a shorted taillight wire to have much in common with the fuel injection, can they? Or do I not understand this at all?
Anyway, I'm going on the assumption that a careful installation of hitch and lights shouldn't harm the car, whatever the official general recommendation.
BTW if you've been waiting patiently for a trailer hitch to do some light hauling with your US car, they're in! Check out

Thanks a bunch for any thoughts.
