Battery? Alternator? Battery connections? Battery terminal condition? Battery ground wire connection? Alternator ground?

Hey! Don't think just cause your music is working that means the battery is fine.. I made that mistake, sometimes the battery has enough power to run evrery electrical piece in the car but not able to crank...

is your starter turning? cuz if it isn't if all you're getting is a click, then take a hammer, and whack the starter with the butt end (wooden or whatever) a few good times, then try again

your starter might be almost dead, sticking

Hey check your terminals, and make sure your battery isn't moving around! The stupid OEM battery tie downs are useless in AE92's, I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the battery tie down wasn't holding anything.. And the terminals were corruded and did not conduct the way they should..

check your grounds

a loose ground is almost always present with electrical problems in older cars

didn't see thsi post till now.....

few things you gotta look for...and since you got the GTS, its has a built in voltmeter...

A) is the volt meter atleast above 13Volt....cuz the starter won't turn fast enuff if its less then 12.8volt.....if its less, there's a possibility that one of your cell is dead.

B) if it makes a clicking sound but doesn't turn the engine, your electric motor on the starter is not working (cuz of brushes etc etc) but since you can hear the clicking sound, the solenoid is ok.

C) whats the CCA (Cold Cranking Amp) on the battery??? anything above 550CCA is enuff for 4AGE. (usually need only 180 to 220 or so) so dun really matter but its nice to know it

D) yours is a manual....put it into 2nd gear and push start it!...if it starts, its possible that its your battery or the starter.....if it doesn't start.....ignition, electrical prob, etc etc etc....
if it starts but then it dies rite after, your alternator is gone....

well....few basic things here that may help you....but you probably already took it to the shop :p

Well I'm running on 4cells in a 6cel battery hehe, still I can play music in the parkinglot and start up and drive off...

But umm, push starting should be done in 1st gear, to minimize the risk of the car not starting.
