1mzfe swap into AE86?

Just totalled my Solara, and decided my next car is an AE86 hatch. Was wondering how I could go around finding which rwd transmission I can bolt up to the 1mzfe. And any idea what I should do as far as which ECU to use?
Thanks,
Josh

i think you could use a tranny that has a 3vz matted to it like a pre-runner or t100. i was going to do that to my te72 but i decided to do a 3tc/2tc hybrid then i parted the car out before i moved

Cool

Use the stock ECU. That particular 1mz-fe engine should be able to ground out & it will swap into M/T mode. That way you don't have to deal with putting resistors on the solenoid lines & have the associated quick timing retard incurred when the A/T ECU's want to shift.
