dont worry about water..it's highly unlikely that u will suck up water!!!

cai reduced my throttle response on my ef i noticed as well....cai sucks

it only makes a diff on hot summer days or like at a track day where it actually matters...for simple street use i firmly believe in the sri

excellent..

but i think i should have notified you of my filters location..

behind our bumper on the driver side there is a metal plate that comes down from the inner fender and the splash guard bolts on to that metal plate from the bottom

well my filter is jambed up in there behind the plate, inner fender and covered by the spash guard.... if you know what i mean

so i'm jus worried cause it's pritty close to the road and water splashes up in the filter area.

not to worry, it's a splash guard and it isnt sucking hard enough to actually take up any water it contacts....unless u drive through 1 foot deep puddles...then i've got nothing to say

thanks
Ram intakes only work at high speeds and you have to route the flow properly first too. AND they're even more suspectable to sucking in water since you can't put a filter on without negating the ram effect.
that's not that great......?

A short ram intake is no different than a CAI except that it is real short. Like one foot. So the filter is next to the engine instead of in your bumper. It is just an alluminum or steel tube with a cone filter on the end and the other end attaches to your throttle body... Just like your generic AEM intake or whatever but a short one.
