Anything is po$$ible. You'd need to find out if the 2JZ bellhousing bolt pattern is the same as the 7M-series (because that's been done). If so, you can bolt it all together using various factory parts.
The 7M- will bolt to a W56 or R151F transmission if you use the 5MGE bellhousing out of an early supra 5-speed, so if the bolt pattern is the same.....

What you are probably looking for is the 1jz bellhousing from a Japanese ~90-92 Supra. It will mate the 1j & 2j engines to the R154 transmission the 3rd gen supra's used, which as I'm told is very similar to the R151. The M series engine bellhousings won't work for you. You'll need to check the R154/R151 bolt pattern to ensure they are the same as my info is not from trying it myself, but only heresay from Supra owners that have looked for upgraded transmission parts, but if it is right, you're in business.

Cool

You can, but everyone forgoes both the 2jz's in favor of TRD supercharged 5vz-fe's, or putting in a 1uz-fe, or 2uz-fe v8. The i6's just don't have enough torque for what the majority of people want when they do a swap. All the other options are also so freaking infinately cheaper it's unbelieveable. And less weighty for sure.

Turbo v8 for the win anyways.
