Do u have an air intake or is it the stock airbox , cuz if u have the stock airbox I dunno how u think that a cone air filter is going to fit in there ???!! Or were u planning on taking out the air box and just clamp the cone filter at the end of the intake pipe ?

the sensor is an afm...right? or vac sensor? which is it?!
anyhow...wont make a diff.
slap on a cone filter and it'll work fine...but u must retain the sensor for obvious reasons

hey mr boro, you forgot to mention that if it's an AFM he will need a Toyota AFM adapter to put the filter on, that's of course after he has removed the air box.

You definetly need a metal bracket for the filter, it should bolt on to your AFM and have the filter installed on it.

i'm sure that he'll discover that after he takes off the airbox

that hose coming into your air filter seems pretty small, and its ridged? ewww wthat's lots of turbulent airflow man, you'd probably be better off sucking in warm engine air

Doesnt really matter. I mean, air would be turbulent when it hits the airfilter, the AFM flap, the throttlebody. And imagine all the turbulence what happens when the air changes its direction in the intake manifold. I mean aslong as the engine is breathing, I dont see the problem with having turbulent air in going in the engine.
Imagine the air from a turbocharger and especially after it passes through the IC.. LOTS AND LOTS of turbulence, but we arent talking aerodynamics of an airplane here

That was my old setup from 2 years ago...the air duct hose is 3" andit was pointed to the opening part of my bumper. The filter got really dirty after a month so I removed it. This is my new setup, it's a custom CAI.
