Need Info for Throttle Body

Which would be the best Throttle Body to be used in a 3SFE engine for Power? And who works these babies for more power?

I've been reading your posts and you're pretty hung up on a new TB, but have you explored other options? I mean things like cams, header, exhaust? The TB might make a difference but on a mostly stock n/a motor it probably won't be noticable. If you have your heart set on a new TB, have you looked at the 3SGE or 3SGTE parts? They might be slightly larger.

I have a 1997 RAV4. I run Weekend Rallies in it. At first it was by experience. Depending on how many Rallies you ran, determined the Category. But as time went by, power took over. I was running with Hondas, Suzuki, and Misubishis SUV's. But they have more power. But I don't want to change my category. I ask this dude, and they told me that I was running stock. The rest, despite that it didn't look like it were running outlaw mods that were hidden. I don't like to WHAAA, WHAAA. So I said, "two can play that same game" I'm looking for parts that can be installed that look stock, but it pumps out a lot more power, you see what I mean. Any advice with be appreciated.

Are the chances of getting caught relatively high? If not, then cams, bump compression by using a thinner headgasket, port/polish, safc if you can hide it, TB and a K&N drop in filter. But thats quite a bit of work and money.

theres isn't any larger TB out there for a direct bolt on. try to have your TB and mainfold ported.

Thank you for the information. Now, I have tried to buy a ported TB. But you only find, Honda TB, Nissan TB, even Mazda TB. Who sells TB for Toyotas?

your not gonna find a shop that sells already bored out TB for the 3sfe. Most shops rather you send away your TB to get it serviced. be very careful some shops only bore the outer lip only and use the factory throttle plates.
