4age megasquirt

Hi,

I'm trying to help a friend megasquirt a silvertop 20 valve motor. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some conservative maps or maybe the Toyota CLT resistance values for megatherm?

im in the process of MS my ae92 as well... your best place to go is on the MS forums or CLub4ag if & when its back..

i cant help you with the maps, but i too needed the values for the CLT sensor so i emailed the guys i bought my MS from & they said to just use the default settings, (think its the GM default) said it was close & should work fine

What sort of signal does the 4age 20 valve distributor send?

The toyota sensor is only like +10*F off from the GM sensor. I have used both on my build. I actually have the resistance values at work if you cant get it to work with the preconfigured GM temps.

As far as the VVT, im not too familiar with the 20V head but if it works like the other toyota engines you can use the MSextra code and drive the varicam solinoid directly via the target boost table. I know it sounds crazy to use the boost control feature as a VVT control but it should work as long as you set up the PWM correctly. In the worst case senario (if set up wrong) you get a high and low cam advance instead of a continuously variable cam.

Club4ag is back up and i believe there is a tech section on this. If not there are plenty of people in there that have done it.
