Canada Hayabusa powered NCP91 - thoughts?

Hey guys and gals,

I've had my NCP91 for a year now and have only recently started to upgrade/modify it. I started with 16x7" rims, then went on to coilovers, a rear sway, some other chassis bars, an exhaust, a moderately good stereo - but something is still missing.

Having had plenty of experience with the joys and failings of NA engines that get turbocharged, I'm not interested in bothering with boosting the 1NZFE. Say what you will, but you'll be off topic.

I was thinking that, even stock, the Hayabusa 1.3 has 50-70% more BHP and the same torque rating as the Yaris' 1.5. Plus, hundreds of successful cases of Hayabusa boost float around the internet, so I know that rediculous numbers can be extracted from it. The 1NZFE doesn't have that reputation.

Have any of you seen any closely matching combinations? Our NCP91 body with a hayabusa engine? The closest thing I've seen was a "Smartuki"; rear mounted hayabusa engine in a Smart...

Thoughts?

I haven't googled out the specs on these engines yet, but it seems like these Hayabusas are meant for motorcycles. Is it strong enough for a Yaris? It seems to be heavier than those Smarts (stripped one at that, from what I can see from youtube clips of that "Smartuki").

There's a Hayabusa-powered KP61 out there now. Haven't seen it in a Yaris yet.

Anything is possible with enough money for custom fabrication.
