Unhappy Metal grinding noises.....

I have a 97 Camry. I noticed that a few days, to a week after it rained heavily here, and my car went through some puddles, every time I turn the wheel it makes this grinding noise. Not a high pitch type. I didn't hit any bumps and the puddles were nothing out of the ordinary, except for one that seemed a little deeper than mosts.

It does NOT make that noise when the car is being driven. Only when it's stopped and I'm turning the wheel without moving the car. Again, it's a low metal grinding noise, like gears turning without oil. What should I do?

Check your P/S fluid, if its low then you've got a leak somewhere. Btw, I wouldn't recommend turning your wheel lock to lock while standing still, puts a lot of stress on certain parts.

Sounds like CV joints to me. Not sure how puddles would have done that, but if it's like a "click click click click" while turning... its CV joints. Time for a new axle.
