performance struts, stock springs, problems?

anyone know anything about this? will the struts wear out much faster cuz the travel is a bit more?

my struts are blown so i need to swap them, but no point in lowering my car (have to load her up with too much stuff)

but i want to get the absolutely stiffest struts i can find, tokico, kyb?

No, they shouldn't were out faster unless they are short-stroke shocks. The GR-2s should be fine with stock springs...Tokicos are supposed to be stiffer...

KYB GR-2 isn't really performance struts IMO.

It's inbetween factory replacement <-> performance. :p

installation done, 2 hours for the first one, 30 minutes for the second

but i forgot the clamp for the lower boot, so i got to use zip ties, take that shaun!

i agree, they're not performance struts, but they are almost half the price of oem/monroe so i'm damn happy

god damn dust boots though, 25$ each, that sucks

guess i could have been patient and waited a till next week for the boots, but fuck it

on, tomorrow or next weekend, i need to replace one of my cv boots, the leak is pretty young, thinking about those split boots anyone got experience with those?

errrr about them not being "performance"...i'd have to agree, i have them on my car. but they still manage to hold up nicely to some aftermarket springs. they are on their way out tho..and this is after only 2 or 3 years...so they cant really take the abuse

i'll go for blues next time around
