any tips for outer cv boot passenger side? doing it tomrorow if it'll stop raining

Just break the clamps on the old boot and cut the boot off.

Apply grease (the new boot should come with a packet of grease). Then install the boot and clamps.

Make sure you have the right tool to install the clamps. A normal pair of pliers won't get the clamps tight enough.

You should be able to rent the tool you need. Its a special pair of pliers for putting on cv boot clamps.

well i took the axel out of the steering knuckle, then scratched my head for a while, wondered what was next for a while, decided to put it back together and get it done at the garage, or by a backyard joe buddie of mine

think i fucked up my tie rod too

just buy another axle.....soooooooo much easier than replacing the boot. cost about $60 usd.

instead i spent 20$ cad, so what like 10usd? and did it myself, had something to do for an afternoon

changed my fuel pump too, yay no more hesitation!
