good to see another aussie on this forum. i also have a Gen 2 (SV21) camry, and eventually i want to go the 3s-gte route, but for the time being i've bought a turbo (off 3s-gte) to which i am going to 'strap' onto the engine (i know its not that simple). do a search, as the 3s-gte topic has been covered many a time.

Where in Australia are you?

The motor will go in and bolt up. All 3S blocks are the same just different internals.

Best bet is to get a clip that way you have everything you need to do the swap.

You have to do some rewiring in the dash. I'm not sure what needs to be rewired, but if you have a wiring diagram for a 3S-FE and 3S-GTE you can figure it out.

You can use the 3S-GE tranny, but I suggest that you upgrade the clutch and might as well do the flywheel too if its apart. Fidanza makes a badass aluminum flywheel for it.

You can leave the back brakes alone, but a conversion to disc brakes would be nice. You can use the parts off a V6 gen 2 Camry.
