Dunlop FM901 vs every other tire in its price range

So I've read a bunch of reviews on the Dunlop FM901 and apparently, everyone says that it's a crap tire. Granted, I'm going to be upgrading from a Yoko TC320 to it, so I'm probably gonna think that the FM901 is an amazing piece of rubber. Question now is for the same price, what are other conparable tires? The Kumho 712s are the only thing that I can think of... recommendations? Oh, size will be 225/45/17 to fit on a 17x7.5 wheel

my friend has those in either 225 or 235....i was very impressed with them..they are great tires...i dont see why u wouldnt want them! they're cheap...

of course u cant compare it to the likes of something like BFG KD/W or something....it's a cheap performance tire...meant to be compared to something like kumho 712...in which case the dunlops are better

I just want to know what options I have available. ALso, I guess I should have mentioned this earlier, but I drive about 35,000 a year, so even with only summer miles on the tires, the FM901 only has a 200 treadwear rating...a little too low for my tastes, but if there's nothing else available, then i'll get them

currently we are riding on 225/40/18 dunlops fm901's and from all the tires that i have tried in the past these are still the best yet... in the past I have had the kumho 712's, pirelli p7000, hercules g5000.... But I have also heard great things about toyo t1s's and i beleive they are around the same price.
Just my 0.2 cents.

No they're not.

You might be able to get Steve (from Steve's Tire) to sell you a set for close to $1K installed. He has 1 last set in stock.

How many km do you have on the tires so far and how much tread is left?

Good in the wet (hydroplaning resistance and grip)?
