v6 puts out good reliable stock hspower, wit some bolt ones it would kick ass, turbo it or put a supercharger on it and it would be awesome

Why turbo a 3S-GE when you can get a 3S-GTE?

theres a guy in the celica forums that dropped an avalon v6 motor in his celica. says its good but alot of tuning needed since the celica wasnt made for a v6 but if u ask me, its worth it for 200hp out of an n/a motor. turbo that bad boy and add a couple of bolt ons and that car would be bad ass. anyway, look in the celica section and look for a thread called "worlds first v6 celica" maybe the guy could help u out with wireing and tuning n shit like that.

Because how good of a turbo is on the 3SGTE?

You can also do like the MG guys and slip in a 90° Rover V8. They say the aluminum block V8 is only 80 pounds heavier than thier inline 4's.

here's a pic.

If you get the second generation, it has a pretty decent turbo with split entry turbine for reduced lag. The JDM ones have a nice ceramic wheel. The main advantage is the engine, sensors, ecu, etc. are already set up for boost. Less screwing around in the long run.

I helped that guy put the engine in his car. It was kind of a b*tch.
We swapped in the 1MZ-FE engine and tranny. Had to modify the axles, engine mounts, radiator, frame cross members, upgrade fuel pump, and do a whole lot of soldering the two wiring harnesses together. That said, his car sets you back in the seat pretty well now. Hard to beat the 200+ lbs.ft. of torque across the whole rpm range of the engine. If you get the later models of 1MZ-FE, you can later get the smog legal supercharger
. Yeah, baby.

depends on how fast u wanna go...how much power u wanna make.....initially.....i used to think that the ct-26 was pulling pretty hard at 15psi.....swapped it out for a t3/t4....nite n day difference...car pulls even harder with minimal/slight lag compared to stock.....my goal was to reach around 300 rwhp...i could never get there with the stock turbo....
