just buy the book, it'll last longer than the car will, its like 30$ and you can do pretty much anything with it and the right tools

you can get it at crappy tire

what's the problem with the wiring, maybe someone already had somethign similar, could shed some light on your problem

try this, take all the extra wires you had, and just ground them, that's what i did with my 92 camry and it works fine

your rear lights should be out too right...

and fyi canadian tire does have a pretty decent automotive section (other than the rice garbage they have)

ya i guess they arent that bad...lol..no but thats whats so weird about the lighting...only the instrument cluster main lights dont work....turn signals and stuff do work on it...also the lights on my shifter dont work (its an automatic ) so basically those two things dont work and the dimmer doesnt work...the switch does nothing...o ya ventilation control lights dont work either...all of the things not working are wired from what i can see and all the bulbs are good still.

yeah, toyota grounds a lot of stuff through the radio, so when you change it you end up with extra wires

oh and you might need to plug a resistor on one of the lines, cuz the radio does give some resistance, so if you're blowing your dash light fuse, then put a 1 meg-mig??(forget the unit) resistor on it
