I actually like them....they are a little bit of a bother at night when ur f'ed up and cant see and that glairs in your face...LoL!!! I have one just for show because I feel the car want to shift....I dont need no stickin light!!!!

open up your gauge cluster....get a big ass red light on your dash (the size of the popo's) then put one contact point on your tach needle and one where 8k is, and there you go....when you hit that, then bing! up goes that light that you just can't miss...

autometer shift lites aren't all that expensive...i know that i've used mine many a times...eyes should be on the road at all times not staring at ur tach......
