Ok, Im going to go run auto-cross on the 13th, Im not going to have anything done to my car for this run except the *shit* exhast I have mounted, and a Dragon Intake *just ordered*
How ever I want to run and recive my times stock, then run again with suspension work and rims put on. Im going with Rota Subzeros, What tires should I get? Also Im going to need to drop the car, Who should I go with for springs? Im not too concerend about stuts as of now, that will come later. I want to get a stut tie bar, I heard by adding that it will stiffen the chassis resulting in better turning. I also need to replace my t-bone motor mount, whats the deal with polyurothane anyways? Whats the Pros on them? Thank you in advance. Oh, I guess this would help *1995 Camry LE 5s-fe 4 cyl 4 door* I also could care less about ride comfort, I love to feel the road. All I want out of this is to be able to handle *almost like a 300zx* If youve ever taken a ride in one....you know just what im talking about. Thanks.

I can't really recommend suspension cause I haven't done it yet, but for the future I was looking at some Tokico struts w/ h&r springs, though that's simply cause I've heard good things about 'em from people on here.
Tires... stiff sidewall is the main thing. Check out the tires feedback thread, there's lots of great info there.
You should also consider a rear sway bar. I think there's a whiteline one at ctm for your gen.
The rear sway bar will settle down your back end by tightening up the chassis to prevent body roll. I believe there's a stock front sway bar which does the same sort of thing, but you can always get a beefier one. There's enough difference in handling after installation that it bumps me up a class in SCCA if I install one.
As far as installation, I don't think it's really that difficult, you just need to be able to either get the car on a lift, or feel comfortable crawling underneath it on jackstands. I've never done it before though, so I'm basically just talking out my ass at this point
Have you also considered modding your brakes? Steel lines and and bigger rotors can really help. I hear brembo makes a performance oriented rotor wth a different, more efficient cooling design and it's only like six bucks more than OEM.
Yea, I upgraded my brakes to Nike Air Force Ones, Not only do they stop well, They look fly while stopping, flintstone style BOOOOOOOOIE! Nah, Ive been thinking about it. As for now im due for some pads, I hear it go squeek squeek.

tires with a stiffer sidewall are a must for cornering harder. however, simply being able to pick the line that best suits your current setup will make the most difference. throughly study the track so that you know each straight and turn, it's width, length, apex, all of the necessities to making the most out of your run.
Make sure non of those mods bump you into a class you don't want to be in.

Yes ^. Be careful cause you probably don't want to find yourself competing against the Carreras
Of course, if you're not in it for scores then it really doesn't matter
If your car is anything like mine in terms of classing, as far as SCCA rules go, you get to stay in H Stock even if you've got an intake (cai or otherwise) and freer flowing exhaust. You must have a cat, though... no open exhausts. Struts are fine as far as I know, rear sway bar will definitely bump you up. Bigger front sway bar is fine. Short shifter, of all things, will bump you up. Brakes are fine. Tires with a larger contact patch than stock will bump you up. ECU, turbo, ripping out seats will all bump you up. Obviously any engine swap will move you up... tHough I suppose if you put a weaker motor in they'd let it pass
The basic idea with classing is making sure your car's handling and power are comparable to others in your class. That way the scorers can 1) score based on the driver rather than a quicker launch or faster acceleration, and 2) be able to weight the scores in order to compare drivers between different classes.
Is this a car club like SCCA? Here are the SCCA classifications, may be different based on the club you race with; for example, BMWCCA puts all non-BMWs in one class together http://moutons.org/sccasolo/
H&R are garbage unless u go with the race springs.
if u got $$, get some ground control coil overs and order ur own custom rates...for camry and autox, try 7kg/mm rear 6kg/mm front or so....
as for tire pressures, run them really high....40 front and 44 rear or so...which ever end is stiffer is the end that is going to slide the most...on a stock car, u want the rear end to have as little traction as possible since the car was designed for understeer.

Im just going to start hitting the winding roads every day *now that I have my system out :P* I can tear it up. Ive been doing corners since I was 13 with my dad on back roads, and Ive played alot of Gran Tourismo *it actually tought me* Im pretty good with corners, I start on the far side and either end up in the middle or the far side on the exit. On a 25 mph rated turn I enter at 60 and leave at 65. No suspension mods, stock tires. So I think Im doing fairly well. Im just gunna run my race and let yall know how it went But I would still love for people to put their info on products seeing as Im a n00b to the suspension aspects. Thanx- Zach
