Exclamation 3s-ge head on a 5s-fg?

Would a 3s-ge head fit on a 5s-fe without modification? Will it be that much of a hp gain? What are the benifits of doing this, what are the bad things of doing this if it is possible without much work.

nope you would still need to change out the pistons... And it also depends on what year 5s-fe block your using

if u dont already have a pre 92 (i think) i would suggest going to the junk yard and buying a pre 92 ( i think) block, rebuild it with forged internals, (since u need new pistons u might as well get new pistons) put the 3sge head on it adn get it all ready to go in, then go get a huge ass nitros system or a turbo and boost/spray it to death and then swap in your new pretty block with a less boost/shots of nitros

Like Wraith said, the pistons would need to be swapped out. F heads have the valves angled differently compared to G heads, meaning that the valves would interfere with the piston domes. Another problem would be that you would need a G dizzy because the F dizzy isn't setup for twin cams in a non-scissor gear orientation. Yet another problem would be finding a timing belt (not the most difficult but still.) Then there's the injector pulse rates which are again different between the two meaning that you would need some other management, 3SGE ECU might work but then again it might not. Probably will though. Thats just the stuff off the top of my head, there's a tonne of other hurdles.

Then again... lets say you were to get a motor out of a 4th gen Celica GTS, which came with a 3SGE stock. Its only rated at 130hp but the parts are there, dizzy, harness, ecu, injectors and head. So lets say you tore up your block and got new pistons that were flycut to clear the valves and slapped on all the shit mentioned above. Would it work? I don't have a fackin' clue, but it might.

Wraith?
