stand alone systems

i have a 95 camry 2 door with the 5sfe and auto tranny. i am purchasing a turbo kit from a company in canada that utilizes the factory 3s manifold. i have also ordered rods, pistons, bearings, pretty much the works in order to be able to support over 16 PSI.my question is about management systems. i will either get 550 or 600 cc injectors and was looking to get an SDS EM4 stand alone system w/3 Bar MAP sensor to handle this but have been told that it will not work with my automatic tranny. does anyone know of any standalone systems that will work with an auto ?? it wouldnt be that big of a deal to swap in a 5 speed but if i do i will go over my budget which i have already gone over several times. Any help that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated

Howbout a haltech system, they seem to be pretty good as far as I know, bit pricey but for sure the stock ECU wont support boosted conditions.

you could pick up a manaul tranny from a junkyard for a decent price i bet, and it woudl be cheaper in the long run because i think if your going to be running 16 psi your going to be tearing up your auto tranny pretty bad

You could use the stock MR2 Turbo/Allltrac 3 bar map sensor, upgrade your injectors/fuel pump and stick with the stock ECU up to 7psi (fuel cutoff would be around there.) Then when you get the bugs worked out you slap on the SDS and crank up the boooost. And yeah, do yourself a favor, get a 5spd out of an MR2 Turbo or V6 Camry, E153 is the one you'd want.

yes it does and you can even use any clutch/flywheel combo that is made for the Mr2. Only thin you'd have to do is mill out the flywheel bolt holes to align it with the holes on the 5s-fe.
