Removing a wire from a pin plug?

Hi all

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but i have a plug from a Sienna and I want to remove a wire from it, and I want to know how.

Thanks in advance!

Ok, sometimes this can be a pain in the arse. i have never done one of these connectors before but most of a time there is a locking mechanism, which is clearly visible in your bottom pic. you need something to remove that. like a pick or something. Im not sure how it comes out but you can figure it out. Once you get that out. On the wire side of the connector, look inside the hole with the wire in it, there should be a little tab on the metal terminal, use a pick or something long and thin, and press the tab and pull the wire at the same time, and it should come right out. What is this connector for? I will look around to see if there is one in the shop that i can look at.

From another thread in the forum, this connector is right underneath the lower dashboard panel, right beneath the steering wheel.

Supposedly its to turn off the DRL, which my dad has been complaining about since he discovered that the headlights won't turn off.

I actually did try taking this apart before posting, with a screwdriver, the thing kind of lifted, but wouldn't actually come out.

Here's the thread: Disable DRL for my 01 Sienna

Use a sharp pick and pop out that part that looks like piano keys. Then I think there's just a little finger that you have to lift up on and the pin will slide out. I use a dentist pick for this kind of stuff.

^^ Would the finger be inside the pin or the cover? I'm having trouble finding the pin. I popped the thing out (it doesn't come out, just sort of raises) but I don't see a finger

Update: I got it! Now I have to see if it worked. The figure was on the connector side of the plug (not the wire) one of those watch screwdrivers got the job done. I am a happy customer. DRLs are off.
