Ignition ?

Got an ignition question. A CD headunit was installed. Tried to turn on the car but the car wouldn't start. Checked the sparkplugs wires, no sparks. Checked the ignition fuse in the car, no power to it. Checked the wire to the CD headunit, the red and yellow wires was connected together. Everything still powers except for the ignition. Took a small wire with two ends, connected one end to the ignition fuse(10amp) and the other to the ecu fuse(10amp), cranked the car, it starts. So I was wondering what is happening here guys? And would running the car with the wires still bridged between the ignition fuse and ecu fuse cause anything? If not, does anybody know how to make a switch that lets me turn off the ecu? I took out the car key but the car was still running. Would bridging between the ignition fuse(10amp) and gauge fuse(7.5amp)cause any trouble? Thanks for any help.

Take it back to the shop and have them fix the wiring, obviously if this occurred after the HU installation, its related or a very sneaky coincidence.

there were no smokey smell in the car at all. the ignition(10amp fuse) is running on the turn signals(10amp fuse) power right now since I bridged it with a piece of wire. What I want to know is will anything get burn in the long run if I keep it bridged? it will cost almost $200 to fix the wiring, according to a mechanic. It's a 1990 Geo Prizm anyways the the Corolla 4age engine.
