1994 toyota carolla-no start with key

wow this is a huge forum! i have a 1994 carolla that will not start with key but push starts very easy(on the first revolution) no aftermarket anti-theft electronics are on the car. this site looks like it has some awsome answers, hopefully somebody knows something about this. :h eadbang:

thanks but i should give more info,here it goes-i have swapped the following parts;ecu,ign.switch,misc relays,dist.,and the starter is fine it spins the motor over with no problem just wont start. it has a no spark while cranking. thank goodness i have a freind at a wrecking yard. its amazing how easy it fires of when i push start it. were i live there isnt very many hills otherwise id always park on one!!!! thanks for replying.

is ur dist giving any volts on a voltmeter

I'd say ignition coil except if the coil was that dead I wouldn't think it would run at all...I dunno, this is a weird one.
