tuning exhaust noise

i got a custom 2.5 catback put in last week... hp gains are awsome but i dont liek how it resonates inside the cab at low cruising rpms

example.... from 2000- 2700 rpm its deep... its as if i had massive subs in the back or sumthin (it sounds similar to a 150hz baseline)... is ther a way to get rid of this??? after 2700 rpm you can barely hear the exhaust which is waht i want

i have a 2.5 resonator right after the ypipe and the exhaust is a dynomax super turbo also 2.5 inch

any thoughts???

woops....

i have exactly the same problem as you.
you may want to purchase a silencer which can be fitted and removed (if needed) inside the piping at the tail end of your exhuast.

although, i have found that it make the car a little to quiet for my likings.

my question is...can the length of the silencer be shortened to allow a slightly louder note??

Your exhaust is always louder from 2K-3K rpm range due to the heavier load on the tranny when taking off.

You can't do much but to add more resonators, put in a silencer, and/or find another quieter exhaust.

That's why I still have my stock catback.
