Cruise Control Installation
Hi guys,
First off I would like to Wish everyone a very merry Xmas and all the best for year 2008.
To the point now, im an owner of an imported Toyota Celica model ZZT231 here in Cyprus, after purchasing it i started putting on some extra accessories till i came to desiring a cruise control system.
Equipping the car with the OEM cruise control system is not difficult but after studying the wiring diagram i noticed that all the wiring is missing for the cruise control and Immobilizer systems due to the fact that the JDM Celica is not equipped with these systems to make the car cheaper, i then removed the ECU cover and i noticed that although the wiring is not installed, there are pins on the ECU ( 4 pins for idle, speed, communication between Engine ECU and Cruise Control ECU) for these missing wirings, so my question is, if i decide to install the cruise control system will i need to exchange the ECU or will i be able to use the current ECU?
