Weight reduction

I was wondering what weight reduction has been done for you all competing with ScionTCs out there. I was thinking removing the sun roof and replacing it with fiberglass inserts might be a nice place to start. Maybe loose 30 lbs. of weight up high.

What do you all think?

I don't own a Scion TC but I think that's a good start (removing weight from the highest point is always the smartest move).
However, I think if you were going to replace that heavy-glass sun roof with a fiberglass unit, the chassis might flex a lot more. (again, I don't own a TC, so I actually assume it would do so).
I'm not aware on anyone that makes fiberglass replacement for your TC.
If you were going to tackle that swap yourself (and have the skill to do so)....I would look into carbon fiber instead.
I know C/F is a lot more expensive, but it's not as flexible as fiberglass.
TAP Plastic sell different types of C/F layout. I would look into that if I were you.
Keep us posted.

theres always basic stuff such as removing rear seats, door panels, spare tire. then also light weight hood and trunk. and maybe any foam bumper supports it might have depending on how much you drive it on the street. i dont own a tC so im not sure on the bumper supports
