5SFTE Pistons.

okay im building a turbo 5sfte from block up, uncluding rods and pistons.
now when i look it up, the bore of the stock 5sfe block is 87mm. in some places and 87.1mm in others...which is correct?

does anyone know of any DROP IN forged pistons? all pistons i find are .5mm too big or small. now if i order custom pistons do i order 87mm? or 87.1mm ?

I think if you look around on that site you might find some pistons made by other companies

i guess those arent on sale anymore, but those pistons are 8.5:1 if you use the 3sgte head

The only listing they have for the 5sfe now is...

CP TOY 5SFE:87.5mm-8.5:1/3SGTE HD (EA)-Kit Price

5sfe blocks are 87.1mm! if u plan on building this engine from the ground up, why not go larger on the bored, from 87.1mm to 87.5mm like sum1 else mentioned? having the block bored to that size is not an expensive treatment and you will benefit slightly more since now you have a bigger area of air/fuel mixture.

I was just thinking the same thing. Since he's gonna rebuild it from the ground up, he might as well get it bored out .4
It will benefit slighly and maybe, you could have a bit more selection, as far as pistons go....
Just my .02
