hey, what kind of bolt-ons are you talking about? the only bolt-on part i can think of that you can do is the intake. if you still have the intake box, try dropping an itg or K&N air filter on it. i also know you can order a custom made high rise headers from TED COMPONENTS, located in Ajax or Osahawa (not sure).

post pics i'm curious, even just the engine bay!

i dunno....a stock 4age=whimpy motor

u need 304 cams, side draft carbs, knife edged crank, head work, os valves, 12.3:1 compression and titanium rods for it to be the "ultimate sleeper" as u so eloquently put.

4age is simply 115hp or 130hp depending on which version...unless of course u have a 20v. which again doesnt mean much unless u have a blacktop

anyhow....u wanted to make ur car fast...do what is written above

OMG tough crowd eh? just to clear the air, from the other post that chigga man did, he does have a 20V on an '94 DX. now when he said bolt-ons, i think what he meant was parts that can easily be attach to the motor. so i wouldn't say that a turbo and a stand alone system qualify as bolt-ons, coz then you have to start upgrading the ecu, etc.

Cor_Low_la.. are you talking about those 4 barrel trumphets? if you are, it's only gonna work with the blacktop not the sivertop.

"...unless of course u have a 20v. which again doesnt mean much unless u have a blacktop"

boroEF... you'll be surprise what a silvertop is capable of!

Can't do much more with a silvertop it already has 10.5 - 11.0 :1 compression depending on model. You could reprogram the ecu and run race gas but that kind of makes the car unstreetable because of the $$$ per mile.

Only way to get more HP to a N/A VVT engine without changes is RPM or ignition timing. Oh and NO2. A 30 shot on what you have already 150 + 30 = 180HP would be enough to make you lose transmission parts in a few months if you don't shift carefully.

u think silvertop is fast cos that motor is powering ur 1400lb car w/ T50 transmission! of course it's fast

but put that in a 2500lb car and see how slow it goes

boroEF... FYI, we're not talking about my car here. we're talking about a 20V on a '94 DX. and i didn't say it's fast, i said "capable of". since you're an expert to this subject oh wise one.. why don't you explain to us why the silvertop is NOT fast and the blacktop is. i'm very curious since the hp and torque difference is very marginal...

im not boroef but i can simply answer what i (think). Well the black to as you all know if off course map type ecu and silvertop is afm. well the blacktop since it is map you can take off the manifold and just have the 4 throttles run. that and it has lighter internals than the silvertop. People claim it responds better to mods than the silvertop mabe because of the open throttle that it is capable to allow with ease no tuning. but than again I think that every one just likes the blacktop because it could use the 4 throttle in open air without tuning. who knows mabe theres no differance.
