I already asked this question in the mr2 section but no one seemed to know the answer so I'm goign to try it here. I'm going to buy a mr2 that has a spun rod bearing. I know how to replace a rod bearing on a fwd car, but not on a mid engine car. Is it the same as a fwd car? I should just have to take off the cross members, oilpan, rod bolts, replace the bearings and then tighten everything back up right?

depends on if the crank is damaged....

I just want to know if that's the procedure to replace it. I know all about if the crank is damaged and all that junk. I just need a confirmation if that's the procedure to replacing it.
