Fluid coolers...

Oil coolers, Trans fluid coolers, and other such items.

In 7 months I move to Florida. I'll be driving back and forth between Tampa, and Orlando on a regular basis. I'd like to think about increasing the life of my car a bit. Any ideas of how to do so with these items?

Well, I'd like to do Oil cooling, and tranny fluid cooling at least so then that way I can at least maybe save some wear on the engine considering it'll be in a very hot climate.

I plan to also do the Boro hood upgrade, and put some washers under the mounts to help with cooling.

Anyone who has any knowledge about installing oil coolers, or tranny fluid coolers is more than welcome to off their piece of mind.

oil and tranny would be good, brake cooler would be useless since the fluid dosen't cycle

on the tranny cooler, should the inlet/outlet be mounted up or down?

I think it's inlet is top, and things get cooler as they flow down?

I know thats how it works with a radiator

1. I suggest a stacked plate design over a tube & fin design.

2. The tranny cooler is installed in series to the built in tranny cooler (in the radiator). You can install it before or after the radiator, its up to you.

Ok, so now I know theres a tranny cooler already there. And I'll install another cooler after the stock tranny cooler. I suppose then I'll also put in a tranny temp gauge as well.
