Wobbly cruise control wheel... how to fix?

This is one of the many directions in which it wobbles.


Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I can't see anything that's loose/broken, and I can't find any screws to tighten it. I'd really like to fix it though, cause when I let off the throttle the looseness causes the engine to bounce as the loose wheel causes slack in the throttle cable. It's rather annoying, and probably is what caused the loose throttle cable (which I fixed a couple months ago).

Anyone familiar with these things know what I can check/fix?

If it's a "replace the unit" thing, would this be considered part of the powertrain? I've still got 10k left on my powertrain warranty.
