GEN 3 axle compatibilty

Ok, so here is what I am thinking. I have a 92 5sfe, just picked up all the s54 swap parts. I know that the 4cyl have your basic axles with splines on each end, pop one end into trans and other into knuckle. The V6 i know as a stub axle that pops into trans and the axle bolts to it and then pops into teh knuckle. The mr2's are the same way. Can I use v6 axles in my 4cyl trans? If I can, then that would make my day, somebody let me know. If nobody knows, then I guess I will find out myself.

this is kind of a late post, but....

VERY VERY doubtful....

just the size difference between the v6 axles and the 4cyl axles are massive...they're probably almost twice a big around and weigh twice as much. I would think that the splines are bigger as well, but you can go compare that at a dealership and confirm that.

I would say no almost for sure.

long story short, you can't get v6 axles to fit onto your s54
