3sfe to a 3sge?
I'm looking at a '88 Celica GTS (With a 5spd) that has tossed a rod through the block (3S-GE) (My guess is it ran out of oil). The local wrecker has a '88 GT in their yard with a 3S-FE engine.
Since I don't want to screw around with the electronics too much, I was thinking that since the displacement and engine codes are the same, that I could take the 3S-FE engine, and throw on from the wrecked engine the head, intake manifold, .etc and convert it into a 3S-GE
Is this possible? My main concern is that the bellhousing would not fit up with the transmission.
