Oh ****

I was at the track on Sat going round a big corner, and my power steering when out, I of course was hanging onto my steering wheel with 3 fingers going about 70. So anyway i grabbed the wheel and pulled it back, but i had started to slide, so i tried braking to recover. Thankfully there was no wall, just this stupid bump. I hit the bump at like 6 mph. And so yeah I was happy. Anyway i was driving home, when my steering started to get bad, i didn't know WTF was wrong. By the time I got home my steering wheel was turned bout 20 degrees to go straight, so I got under my car and ****. My lower control arm was practically bent in half. WTF those thing hardly ever bend. Dumbass bump. Also, my steering pump had busted. I hate this.

My stepbrother has a 01 Jeep Wrangler. He put a suspension kit and some super swampers on it and told me about some mudding adventures he'd had with it. I borrowed it for a weekend and after I took it out for a light workout, the control arm was busted and the steering wheel was at 90 degrees to go straight. Anyways, it cost about 3k to fix it. Sucks. F***in' Bump.

itsmycookie, what do you drive? sometimes a lower control arm is easily found at a junkyard, and could be replaced with an aftermarket unit. what kinda track driving do you do?
