Well, I can't make any comments about this specific application. But I can say that as long as the two bodies are similar in size and specification, it is definately possible.
I've got a friend who is into 4x4's and offroading. He own's an old Jeep CJ-7. The engine worked great, but when he got it most of the body was rusted away. Anyway, he torn out the entire rear end and put on the rear end from a Jeep YJ. So everything from the firewall foreward is CJ, and behind the firewall is YJ. It's pretty cool.
So anyway, stuff like that might not be too commonplace, but is certainly possible. So long as your handy with the cutting and welding tools, anything is possible.
