Thumbs up Which is better for Toyota engines lean or rich

Which is better for Toyota 3SFE engines, leaner or rich a/f. I've installed an Apexi AFC NEO and a AEM Gauge wide. It's working fine until this moring when a P0171 Check Engine code came up. As we know, the mixture is lean so says the code. But the AEM dispite showing that the A/F ratio is still in the green. The CE light comes up. On Monday, I'm installing the Gtech PRO RR. with a weight of 2,469 lbs. I'm going to track the reading of HP. Which is better rich or lean. N/A engine make their best HP at about 13-13.5.

Rich is always better than lean. The leaner it gets, the hotter it gets. Than things start melting.......

Thumbs up

The cooling systrem from my Toyota is quite adequite. It has an oil and transaxle oil cooler and a bomex front spoiler. On the contrary, a little heat might be better in my case.

Take a look.
