5th. Gen Celica Swap

I seriously need some help...I just got a hold of a 3rd gen. 3sgte engine w/front clip that came out of a 1998 Celica GT-4. I'm about to make a downpayment on the engine but i want to make that it can fit into my 1991 Celica GT-S. What should I do...buy it or go for the second gen 3sgte? Let me know. Thanx

Go ahead... 3rd Gen 3S-GTE are hard to come by because of the many goodies included with that engine and particularly in GT4 Celica (anti-lag system, I/C water spray etc). The engine will fit directly in just like a 2nd Gen but with more power.

Be sure to get everything in that front clip, wire harness, ECU, etc its best to have somewhere to get the parts from than having to fabricate them.

Agreed, it fits. But... you'll need to cut your hood or use an FMIC, and if you go with the 205 rad, you won't be able to close your popup lights, haha. I met a guy at the last KK meet who swapped one into his 5th gen Alltrac.
