09 Corolla Transmission shifting rough

Hi

Since I do know a bit about mechanic I think I will be more at home with you guys in the present forum. But as I don't know the manner of Toyota cars I need you help to determine if this is normal.

My 09 Corolla wich I abuse once and a while (hard acceleration) seems to be shifting hard (on the upshift). I would not say it is a big issue but I was expecting a better performance from the 4 speed automatic on this car (not smooth at all), especially for a 2009.

For me it almost looks like I have a "damage" engine mount. On start up you hear the engine shaking in the bay. But I have not check if engine was moving a lot when pressing the gas in neutral.

Anyone as a clue about this ? Normal, engine mount or tranny issue ?

(By the way I don't beat up this car, only pressing hard on gas when accessing highway ramp, I wouln't describe this as tranny abuse)

Thanks guy for your input on this...

Have you take it in to the dealer to see what they say? I would imagine it is still under warranty since it is an '09.

I have a similar problem. I never abuse my car so I'm surprised that the automatic transmission shifts so hard. This usually happens from first to second. As for the engine shaking problem this happens if I let the car sit without starting it for a day or two. I've complained about this to the dealer and they said not fault found. I don't believe them and will go to another dealer and drive the car myself in order to show them the problem.
