Wierd Gas Leak Need some Help

Ok well this weekend when I was 2 hours away from home visiting my girlfriend I got a call from her parents(my 81 Celica GT is in my gf's parents garage) and they told me I was leaking gas and they were making it sound like it was comming out of the tank. Well today I finally got a chance to get out and do some work on the car. I was showed where the leak was which is no where close to the tank. The wierd part is the leak is no where near any gas lines or anything. The leak is on the passenger side between the frame and the body pinch weld about right bellow the floor that would be right in front of the seat. The inside of the car doesn't smell like gas and I can't see anywhere or why it would be leaking. Anyone have any ideas or things I can check to see where this leak was comming from. Also it is not leaking anymore it was just leaking for about 3 or 4 hours and then stopped.

Fuel pressure regulator (if it's EFI) sits right in front of the passangers seat and the end of the fuel rail... but then again your car might be carburated and I have no clue of the engine layout for that model.

Maybe it was leaking from a line further away and running down the ridge? Just a thought.
