1ZZ FE Engine Swap (non typical)

I just pulled a 1zzFE out of a 98 prism, I am building an off road buggy with the use of the engine and transaxle, (3 speed auto) I have been looking at the harness and the number of wires is just amazing. Has anybody been able to strip down this harness to the bare bones of just what is necessary to run.

Is there a simple way to raise the Rev limit or does the ECU have to be sent for a reflash?

Thanks!

I am looking to do the same thing, I'd like to put a 1zz-fe in a VW based Dune Buggy anyone have any info on how to strip the harness to what is necessary to run? Does the 1zz-fe have a separate engine harness from the body harness?

you should look for Dr Tweak. He handles engine harnesses all the time.

Anyone (Dr Tweak or others) have any info?
I found a pin-out diagram, engine control system diagram and service manual (2004 Corolla) for the 1zz-fe engine...
