Such thing as lowering struts?

I need to replace the struts on my car and decided while I'm at it I might as well lower it too. I was just wondering if there is such thing as lowering struts, or are short coils the only way to lower a car.

oh yea, and just for the record I did search online for lowering struts but only found them for Beetles, so I did do some research before posting and I'm still a little stumped

Well U got some options, if u want lower u get aftermarket lowering springs( Eibach, H&R,Sprint, etc) and struts(KYB Gr2, Tokicos) that can handle the lower setting
as for lowering struts U can get KONI adjustable ( see lots of money ) or go with a coilover system like JIC !!!!! Ohhh almost forgot ......... Use the fucking SEARCH button !!!

Struts dont do nething w/ the height but i did find that while i had vogtland springs on my car. I installed Tokico Blues and my car did lower it a bit more as opposed to when i had my blown KYB's. I now scrape on about everything after switching struts. The cause of this? I have no idea.

Well how do U think u can adjust the stiffness without changing the height of the car ????? It's not like it has a valve to add pressure or lower it !!!! it's done by putting the strut to a lower setting to get the stifness.........

It adjusts the valving internally to allow a higher or lower rate of gas to slip by. That's the way struts work.

There are short stroke shocks for sports suspensions. When you lower your car you no longer use the full stroke of your shocks, so there's un necessary travel.
