Not for my car. The major things different on my car (1mzfe auto) are the exhaust manifolds, ypipe/cat, and injectors...and even those changes are insignificant.

Huh, what do any of those things have to do with the transmission? Regarding the throttle body, im positive i can still use the same one after my 5-speed swap.
they don't! the egr pipe on the auto is mounted in a different spot, the injectors have more nozzles i think, and the ypipe/cat may have an extra air tube? it's all for emissions and perhaps clearance issues...i don't know, but according to the shop manual, these parts are different.

jeff, i know that on altima's the auto throttle body is slightly larger than the manual one. but of course, u can stick with the auto throttle body when switching to a manual tranny..u'll get more power that way anyways if it is larger..
i've read of manual altima drivers getting the auto throttle body swapped into their cars for more power...

of course its different, the auto tranny is controlled by pressure that is ran by the throttle body, some cars are vacuum actuated like older domestics, and our imports are electronically controlled and fluid controlled by different switches and meters that all run off of the throttle body
