Can anyone out there help? My 1994 Corolla 1.6 GLi has developed a 'tinkling' sound that comes from the drive belt area, especially when moving off fom stationary. If I give a squirt of WD40 it goes away for a 100 miles or so. Any ideas whats causing this. Is it time to change the drive belts. The car has 65,000 miles on the clock. The cam belt was changed last year. Thanks __________________ gofer

If its ok, try pouring some water into the belt while the engine is at idle, if the noise goes away, It's time to change your belt.
