Got your answer man. I just finished a Scion TC 2.4 2AZFE swap into a Camry. For what it's worth, the install went very smooth, with only a few things needing changed over. The Camry parts that you'll need to reuse on the Scion block:
Intake Manifold
Exhaust Manifold
Maybe the Throttle Body (I didn't remove it from the stock intake)
Timing Cover
Camry Motor Mounts
Driveshaft insulator block (just left mine attached to the driveshaft and reattached when I put the new engine in).
Thermostat Housing Neck (the Scion has a 90 degree bend, the Camry has pretty straight inlet).
Those are the only "big" things I can remember. Sorry it took so long to update, it took forever to get my mother-in-law to buy an engine after it took me weeks to pick one, and the it took a week for it to arrive. The oil pan, and upper pan assembly were the same too
I got a used 11k mile 2.4 2AZFE Scion TC engine from LKQ on ebay for 900 bucks. Pulled the head cover and the timing cover, and it was beautiful, looked like they had just assembled it at the Toyota plant. Dude musta changed his oil right away and every 3k with synthetic. We cranked it without plugging in the coil packs to pump the oil up, and it started on the first 2-3 cranks. Engine hesitated for about 10 minutes, with a check engine light. Guess it was Crank-Relearn, I expected this to be a possibility beforehand, but expected to have to take it to the dealer. It went away on it's own though. T-stat opened, and we added more coolant, and checked for oil and antifreeze leaks. Everything looks good so far. I'll keep an eye on it for a few days before I return the car to her.
After the engine, shipping, and replacing all the usual things you replace when doing an engine... it cost $1450 bucks.... for an 11k mile engine with new everything.
