V6 Head Gasket Prob's-Anybody Know

While searching Toyota I ran across info that implied that the V6's are/were having head gasket problems. Does anybody have any knowledge regarding this apparent problem. Like: Is it true, Has it been corrected, Did it affect certain years? I'm still looking for my missing horsepower and have been adding water lately that's got to be going somewhere. Looks like a compression check is in order while I'm changing the plugs....Thanks, Frank

Ya, I had to get mine changed right when I bought it a cuple of years ago, I think it only affects the 3VZ-FE (92-93) but I'm not sure.
