22r with 70% loss in power

Ok My 92 toyota pickup has lost 70% of its power. It takes me a good mile to reach 55mph. The engine still sounds ok, although it has a miss, any ideas on what I should look at or what order I should go in to track down the cause of this?

Ok here is an update

Ok did compression test and got 135 psi per cylinder, replaced fuel filter, have all new plugs, wires, rotary button and cap, converter has been removed and still having this problem. Havent checked the timing yet, still trying to understand what they mean by shorting out the efi check connector???? while doing it. Also does anyone know where the fuel pump is? Its a 92 pickup.

On the test plug, you stick a piece of wire between the two terminals specified in the book. I think the pump is in the tank.
