help: airbag question again
okay my corolla is a 94.. on the sun visor, there's a reminder for inspection at 10 years after the car is purchased. anyways the car is over 10 years old..
heres the catch.. i installed a tach last summer, sparked some wires on the way.. and ever since, the airbag warning light has stayed ON
tried to reset the ecu but doesnt work... replaced fuses and still doesnt work..
so i just got off the phone w/ a toyota service guy... he was telling me that he doesnt know how to reset it and a "technician" would have to do it for $85 + tax for resetting the airbag.. he also said the airbag inspection (b/c its been 10 years) costs $85+tax..
thats retarded... b/c its just inspections!
i told him i installed a tach and blew the dash light fuse...(which i replaced and works fine) and as i mentioned above the airbag warning light is on and the toyota service rep. said its not working b/c i cut a wire and the airbag disabled itself and even though i reconnected the wires i cut.. the airbag will not work b/c the airbag wire cannot be exposed or touch n e thing (he used some other big word but i forgot what he said)...
i dont think i cut the airbag light but i did touch all the wires behind the cluster w/ power to find out which wire was for the rpm signal... and this is most likely what screwed my airbag
ANYONE KNOW WHAT TO DO????
plz help i dont wanna go to toyota and spend $200
