CARB cold air intake

anyone know if there is such a thing as a CARB approved cold air intake for a 7th gen 1996 toyota corolla?? I always see those short and long cold air intakes on ebay and other sites, but they're never CARB approved (California Air Resource Board). I don't want the hassle of always switching back to the factory air box when it comes time to do a smog check. A CARB approved air intake would remain installed.

3rd Generation

Not sure how much more difficult it is on your rolla, but on my Camry unscrewing one nut and a temp sensor every 2 years is not super difficult

So I just switch it out... Injen makes a lot of CARB approved intakes, but not sure about a cold-air, probably just a short-ram.

I don't think they make it for your 1997 Corolla. In any case if you could get a intake system that is CARB legal then do it. It won't matter much with what kind of system (cold, short, K&N) as it wont make that much of a difference on your car. If you want to save money, just get a K&N drop in filter.
