Lets Get Started

ok, heres the story...i just got a 1990 gt-s non turbo. im gonna start out by doing what i can without changing the motor.
so the question is. I need some idea of where to start...i think something like an underdrive pully set and a unichip(i think i can reset the chip if i add more mod...i think?)
i will eventually do them motor (a year or 2)maybe turbo...NOS. but in short.
1. wheres a good place to start, cheep and easy...

2.any tricks would be nice...i do work in a welding shop so im gonna do the short throw shifter myself, and possibly change some stuff from steel to aluminum...or maybe titanium(not sure what i can do though..havent looked at the car much yet) and ill try to do the ram air myself in aluminum pipe...(what size is good...bigger the better i think)

3.any recomendations of anything to look for becarefull of ... scames to watch for....eg the 8$ chip on ebay?

any little thing would be good...ive worked on mostly carbs in my life so this is alot of new stuff....

thanks in advance everyone

one last thing...i hear a bunch of good things for water injected...but what are the cons...there must be something

i'd say if you're going to do a motor swap i wouldn't put much money into the motor...If it's a 90 I'm sure there's a lot of little things you need to get in order if you want to have this thing last for a long time i.e. make sure theres no rust, etc.

dont make the intake pipe too big. it will weaken throttle response as the air has to fill up the tube.
