Angry swoosh.....

after i drive ma car i opened my gas cap and theres a swoosh,as if theres too much pressure in it....whats wrong with my tank and my fuel consumption is terrible....btw my ride is a ae92 with a 3sge transplant,please help

^^that is normal for pressure to build up...thats not the cause of ur bad fuel mileage....when is the last time u had a tuneup??...

i juz got it tuned,its runnin well....but the pressure aint normal,and if i revved it high den after turnin d engine off theres this sound comin from the charcoal canister,as if theres pressure dat wont come out,then wen i opened the cap,swoosh!!! then the noise stopped....what should i do?

i have the same issue with my 2S-E. what i've always figured it to be was the air rushing back into the tank. since your tank is a sealed compartment, it creates a vaccum from when the gas is removed and there is no air moved in to take the place of the gas which was removed. so when the gas cap is removed, air rushes in to take the place of what was nothing which creates the woosh sound which you are hearing.

im interested now, wouldnt that be a bit dangerouse u go to hte pump and gas fumes jsut shoot out of ur tank??? what does that do to ur fuel lines or tank for that matter how would that go about being fixed??
